I’m Jackie—a wife, a mom to five incredible boys (all born within four years, including twins), and the heart behind, To My Dear Friend.

I live in Utah, where I’m raising my boys alongside my husband. 

From 2006 to 2007, I served a mission in Asunción, Paraguay—an experience that deepened my love for the gospel of Jesus Christ and forever changed the way I see people, faith, and connection.

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love the joy, hope, direction, and peace it brings into my life and my family.

But I also know that living the gospel doesn’t mean life is always tidy, easy, or picture-perfect.

Sometimes faith is forged right in the middle of motherhood, loneliness, disappointment, unanswered prayers, piles of laundry, and days when everyone—including Mom—needs a do-over.

My life has been full…and yet, at times, my heart feels lonely.

I have friends. I'm outgoing. I'm constantly surrounded by people—especially five very energetic little boys!

But I find myself longing for something deeper than quick conversations and social media updates.

I crave genuine connection. I miss slowing down long enough to hear and to be heard.

I connect through stories—through honesty and vulnerability.

When we have the courage to say, “I hear you. I see you. I’ve been there too,” walls come down, hope begins to grow, and strangers become friends.

This is why I created, To My Dear Friend.

These letters are written especially for Latter-day Saint women. They explore what can happen when we take the gospel of Jesus Christ off the page and put it into action in our everyday lives.

They aren’t meant to be shallow, polished, or picture-perfect. They are deep, meaningful, and rooted in real-life experiences.

They contain honest stories, lessons learned, truths rediscovered, and reminders of God’s faithfulness—even in the seasons when He may feel quiet or far away.

I write my heart onto paper with the hope that something I have lived, learned, or struggled through might help another woman feel seen, understood, and strengthened in her faith.

Alongside each letter are thoughtfully designed keepsakes, small surprises, and invitations to reflect and draw closer to the Savior.

My hope is that when you open your mailbox, you will feel encouraged, remembered, and a little less alone.

I believe letters have a way of slowing us down in a world that is constantly rushing. They remind us that someone took the time to think about us, pray for us, and encourage us.

I pray is that every envelope becomes more than just mail. I hope it becomes a deep breath, and a quiet moment with God.

An opportunity to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with the Savior, with yourself, and with the people around you.

A reminder that you matter, that healing often begins when we are honest, and that no matter what season you are walking through—you have a friend.

To My Dear Friend, is also a pen-pal community.

Not every letter will come from me.

Some will come from other women who are part of this mail club—women wanting to share their lessons, experiences, and testimonies that have shaped their lives.

If, and, when you feel ready, you may share your story too. It is simply an invitation, never a requirement for belonging here.
