1. What is To My Dear Friend?

To My Dear Friend, is a monthly snail mail subscription created especially for Latter-day Saint women. Each envelope is thoughtfully created to bring encouragement, strengthen faith in Jesus Christ, and add a little goodness to your mailbox each month.

2. What comes in each monthly envelope?

Every month is a little different! Your envelope will include a heartfelt letter centered around the month’s theme, along with thoughtfully chosen extras such as scripture cards, activities, bookmarks, stickers, postcards, recipes, pressed flowers, or other small surprises.

3. What are the letters about?

Each month focuses on a meaningful theme such as connection, gratitude, worth, faith, hope, and becoming more like Jesus Christ. The letters include personal stories, real-life experiences, encouragement, and invitations to put gospel principles into action.

4. Is To My Dear Friend affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

No. To My Dear Friend, is an independently owned and operated business and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

5. Do I have to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to subscribe?

No. While the letters are created with Latter-day Saint women in mind and may include scriptures, gospel principles, and references familiar to members of the Church, anyone who would enjoy Christ-centered encouragement is welcome.

6. Is this an official Church publication or curriculum?

No. The letters and materials are personally written and created by, To My Dear Friend. They are meant to offer encouragement and connection and are not official Church publications, curriculum, or instructional materials.

7. How often will I receive a letter?

A new, To My Dear Friend, envelope is mailed each month.

8. When will my first letter arrive?

Your first envelope will be mailed the following Tuesday. Once it has been mailed, delivery time will depend on USPS.

9. How are the letters mailed?

Each month’s package is sent through USPS directly to the mailing address you provide at checkout. Because this is real snail mail, delivery times can vary.

10. Is shipping included?

Shipping is included, however, taxes are not. 

11. Can I send a subscription as a gift?

Absolutely! To My Dear Friend, makes a meaningful gift for a mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, friend, ministering sister, missionary mom, or another woman you love. Simply enter the recipient’s mailing address when placing the order.

12. Can I cancel my monthly subscription?

Yes. Monthly subscriptions can be canceled before the next renewal. Canceling stops future renewals and does not cancel or refund an order that has already been processed.

13. What happens if I enter the wrong mailing address?

Please contact us as soon as possible if you notice an error in your mailing address. If your envelope has not yet been mailed, we will do our best to update it. Once an envelope has been sent, we cannot guarantee that USPS will be able to redirect it.

14. What if my letter never arrives?

Snail mail occasionally gets delayed or lost along the way. If it has been an unusually long time and your envelope still hasn’t arrived, please reach out so we can help determine the best next step. hello@tomydearfriend.com

15. Will every month contain the same items?

No—and that’s part of the fun! The heartfelt letter is at the center of each month, but the little extras may change depending on the theme. Some months may include activities, bookmarks, cards, stickers, paper goods, or other small surprises.

16. Are the letters personally written?

Yes. The letters are personally written and thoughtfully created around real experiences, gospel principles, and meaningful themes. They are meant to feel less like something mass-produced and more like receiving a letter from a dear friend.

17. Why snail mail?

Because there is something special about opening the mailbox and finding something that was created just for you. In a world filled with texts, notifications, scrolling, and noise, To My Dear Friend, is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with what matters most, and remember that sometimes a simple letter can arrive exactly when you need it.
